Hello there everybody. I'm new to this forum and I have been afraid of
being sick for as long as I can remember. I honestly didn't know there
was really a phobia for this and always thought I was just a weirdo. It
has greatly relieved me to know that I'm not alone. I'm 22 years old, I
live in Illinois and I have a little boy about to turn 2. I am also
married. I just wanted to make a quick hello and introduce myself. I
wasn't quite sure where to post this at

    WELCOME

I am a 41 year old with a wonderful husband and a 3 year old son who is my pride and joy most of the time. he's spitting his jucie on the floor right now and we have an ant problem already, so this is not one of the proud moments.

You will find great friends and support here and you will be so glad that you found us. I was just like you and could not believe that so many people like me existed. I was sorry for all of them, but glad for me to have finally met people who understood how I felt.

    Hey, Kel and Morningstar!!

I am in Illinois, too! I was in Joliet yesterday!!! I live in Park Ridge, a northwest suburb of Chicago, but if you ever want to hang out, I'd love to! I am 32, no kids.

I've been to Park Ridge, Mary! What were you doing in Joliet yesterday? It's not a bad town, as long as you stay away from the east side. All my clients seem to come from there (I'm a juvenile criminal defense lawyer). Maybe the three of us can get together sometime.

    Kel and Morningstar,

It would be so fun if the three of us could get together! I was in Joliet on Saturday because I went to Starved Rock and that was on the way. We stayed at a friend's house in Plainfield Friday night, so we ended up going right through Joliet! I think we even had lunch there...Giordano's? I forget what road it was on, but it was in a little strip mall place? Anyway, why have you been to Park Ridge? What a small world! AND, I interviewed for a teaching job in Rock Falls many years ago!! So, I have been there, too!! I would love to have a little Illinois emet meeting!! Let me know what you guys think!

Mary I totally would, but the rack and pinion broke in mine and hubby's
car so we are in the processes of getting that fixed. Maybe when our
car is fixed and things settle down we can see what we can work out
because I'd love to get together with you guys!

I was in Park Ridge about a year ago for a consulting business that I owned before I got my attorney job. Mary and Morningstar, just let me know when you want to get together. I don't mind driving, either, just not TOO far from home (the whole emet/agoraphobia thing, of course). I'm usually fine as long as I'm within an hour of home.

I looked up Rock Falls on Yahoo Maps, maybe we could meet in Aurora or Naperville once morningstar's got her wheels running?

Yay! I go to that area all the time! In fact, I will be in Naperville tonight swing dancing! Sounds like a plan!
