Okay.. so I am living in a dorm and I don't know why but EVERYONE feels that they should sit on your bed when they come down to your room to visit. Normally this just irritates me but yesterday I really felt like I was being personally attacked!

Okay.. one girl on my floor didn't feel well yesterday (but she thinks it's due to the medication she is on) but anyways.. she didn't feel well but SAT ON MY BED to tell me this!

Then, my roommate had people over yesterday afternoon.. one of these people LAID ON TOP OF MY BED. But, oh no, it gets better. The girl that layed on my bed is now SICK WITH THE STOMACH FLU today!!! She did lay on top of my bed... and i don't sleep with the pillow sham or the duvet cover.. so I'm hoping that I am fine. But when I found out this morning that she was sick, I stripped down all of my bedding and it's down in the washer.

These things always happen on the best of days too.. I have to go take a HUGE exam in my psychology class in a half hour. Like I am supposed to be able to concentrate will all this happening!

All I can say is that all future visitors are going to think I'm a big brat because my bed is NOT a couch and will not be used as one in the future!!!

I never lived in a dorm, so I have know idea what it is like, or what you are going through. But I will say do you know for sure its a stomach virus? Is she v* or having d*? Maybe she ate something, or drank to much. You did the right thing, by taking off your sheets, just wash them and you should be fine. Also if your that worried, just keep your hands clean, and lysol everything. I wish you luck on your test.

    ewww...

Any way you can switch to a top bunk or build yourself a loft? Maybe in the future keep stuff on your bed or suggest going to the lounge to visit? You're right, that was very inconsiderate.

Yeah I know what you mean about people coming and just sitting on your bed, that happened to me when I was in college. It's good that you are washing your sheets and what not. Don't worry about getting sick! You probably won't get anything, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

maybe you should sit your roomate down and talk to her and tell her that you feel it is inconsiderate for people to sit on your bed. don't be afraid to tell people to stay off your bed or if you can't do that, just spray your bed with lysol in the morning and right before you go to bed. try not to worry so much, i'm sure you will be fine. I would always put a lot of stuff on my bed whenever I walked off or during hte day so ther was no room to sit on it. I made it piled up with clothes or books or throw pillows that I did not sleep with.

I knwo how gross you feel from this, but don't worry and do well on your exam and think that it probably wasn't a virus. Chances are good that in college it may have been tons of other things. Food, drank too much....

You are fine and good luck on the exam

Hey, when I was in college people used to do that all the time!! I know what you mean!

Just leave your bed in a total mess, and then cram a chair in there that is junk free, and when they come in, offer them a seat!!
