O.k., someone told me to check out the site from the Phobia Clinic and I did and I saw that people are getting rid of this phobia forever. There are a few testimonials on there from Emets, but I can't decide if this is on the up and up. We are all here and none of us have been cured and I think that a crash course on CD's seems a bit odd.

It's a little pricey, but cheap if it works. Has anyone tried it? Know anyone who has? Know anything about this program?

Sorry, I have no idea. Maybe rationalization may work, and do research in regards to your phobia. Sometimes knowing the facts makes things easier to cope with. But I understand that that doesn't always happen. Maybe see a hypnotist. I'm beginning to do research on any in my area to help with anxiety.

I am always wary of those types of things, especially if they have
testimonials. And if the price is slashed, too...like it WAS 199, but
now it's only 59...things like that. I tend to believe they are scams.
I was thinking about trying hypnosis too, or laser therapy....a friend
of my Mom's did laser therapy to quit smoking, he smoked 2 packs a day
for 50 years, after the first session, he never smoked again...I'm
going to check it out, I will post if it sounds worth a shot.

Yes - it's a SCAM. SEVERAL people from this forum have been conned into paying big bucks for someone to talk to them on the PHONE, if you can believe that, or listening to some relaxation CDs. Give me a break.

These scammers really irritate me. They destroy lives by destroying hope. Rest assured, if you do try this (and I don't blame anyone for trying anything) and it doesn't work...there is still good, sensible treatment available for emetophobia.

PS - if you're wondering, go back to that website and read all about the OTHER phobias they've "cured". YOu'll see a strange similarity no matter what the phobia/cure/story is....

Thanks Sage, I actually wasn't willing to pay the price for it since I have been an EMET my whole life, and I do cope pretty well. I have mild setbacks from time to time, but I have truly found that actually communicating with others about this phobia and just learning to calm myself are the best ways and they are helpful.

I have a 3 year old son and he has helped me realize the important things in life and the V* does happen and we all survive it.

    I do appreciate your response.
