Please help - having a panic attack

I just got back from the therapist a little while ago and we were talking about my boss who was sick yesterday. I was worried about it yesterday, but after talking to my therapist I am really starting to freak out about it.


A quick recap - my boss v*d before she came to work yesterday, ate breakfast at work and was fine, went to eat lunch and v*d twice at work, so she went home. She said she didn't v* anymore, but went home and went to bed. She said when she woke up, she was sweating like crazy, just drenched. So she thought maybe she was coming down with the flu.


But today she was fine. Her boss (who was out yesterday) asked her if she thought it was the flu or something and she kept saying she didn't think it was anything contagious or she wouldn't have come in. She did mention to me that she started her period today and that she used to always get a migraine right before she started. I asked if she had a headache yesterday and she said yes.


So, please tell me if you think this is a sv or anything contagious. I am really freaking out. I haven't eaten since it happened yesterday, and am majorly doing the countdown. Right now I am at 30 hours so I am scared to death that I will get it tonight or tomorrow or ever!I have to take my car in tomorrow to the shop so I am having a co-worker pick me up and take me home. I am scared I am going to get sick at work and have no way to get home.


Please help me! I am really scared! Am I going to get this????Edited by: sillygirl

Hey Try to calm down. Maybe she just ate something bad. Or like you said it could have been from her migraine. As long as you washed your hands and kept them away from your face, you should be fine


I know its hard to deal with. Iwould be freaking out too! Thats why I work from home now

Seriously. When people have SV's they know it. It knocks you on your ass... Fever, vertigo, lethargy... I don't think she would have recouperated that quickly from a stomach virus.


Don't let yourself worry so much about it. It's going to be okay.

Migraine, I think. I was at horse camp and almost the same thing happened...a CIT had a badheadache, and then right before dinner I was in line for the bathroom, when she came, sat on the floor, and said she had to puke...needless to say I left that line pretty fast!!! She did v* and I was scared for a while, but she felt better after she v*ed, although she still had a headache. No one else got it. I think that what your boss had was probably a migraine, but i know exactly how you feel. skeptical, amongst other things. Don't worry though! I know it's really hard to do, but just try to relax and distract yourself. good luck!
