I feel sick every day, at least every day, most of the time i know its in my head, and i manage to calm myself down...

The last three days however i have had this mysterious thing, i keep
getting sharp pains in my lower stomach, they come and then go... And i
feel fine inbetween and nothing bad really happens when i have them...
i just automatically panic thinking im going to v* .. . I spoke to the
pharmacist at work and he said if i was going to be s* i would have
been by now... Do you think this is the case??

My dad told me i shud go see a therapist and he will pay for it All
i do is cry all the time, i hate this phobia more than anything, i
would rather die than ever be s* again...

I think the pharmacist is right, you probably would have been sick by
now..I read in the emetophobia FAQ that people like us can't tell the
difference between "friendly" (normal) stomach feelings and ones that
mean we are going to v*...everything we feel means we are going to be
sick to most of us...it is very hard to deal with I know. Next time you
feel the pain, just try to remember this: How many times have you felt
it, and how many times were you just fine? It works for me to get
me to relax again.

I hope therapy works for you if u decide to go! Keep your chin up!! You will be okay!

I get this all the time and I always fear that I will be sick, but I do the same thing Jamie does...I say to myself ,and yes, I do it outloud, "I havehad this 100 times before and I have not V*d from it, so I won't this time either. I know that I repeat it tons of times and it does work. Also, I lie down and totally relax for a few minutes and that helps too. Concentrate on totally realxing all your body parts and you feel so relaxed that it almost melts that fear away.

i can't always do this, but for the pain, I usually can and I can convince myself i'm o.k.
