i was wondering if you thought this might be one of the reasons why we fear v*? In the exposure links, i found the pictures that were most disturbing were the 'violent' ones... like the pumpkin (!) and the category 8 picture (I think it was- the black and white pic of the guy?)- if the latter pic was in colour, i would have completely freaked out! do you fear this because of the violence of it? or is it the same whether its violent or not?

I've wondered that myself. It seems violent and uncontrollable. I am not sure if that is IT, but that is definitely an aspect of IT!

For me its the loss of control, and the thought that it could come
without warning, I can see why people would fear the violence aspect of
    it though.

Yeah the loss of control bothers me but the violence of it also bothers me. I've seen the pics you are talking about I know what you mean. That's why I hate V*ing, because it's so violent and sometimes it even hurts!

I think for me...it's the not knowing when it will stop...i think i could handle one or two times maybe..but the kind that just goes on and on and on is what i fear the most......of course if it hurt i would be scared too...but my experience last time...which was 15 yrs ago....was it was multiple times.....around 7-10 times....it did not hurt...but just wouldn't stop....and so i remember thinking ok this was not that bad....but i still sweat when i recall the day it happened.....so again i think the not knowing when or where is probably my top fear......next is the amount of times....then the violence of it.
