I ate some salad at a party yesterday and on the MSN home page, it says people were ill from e-coli in pre-packaged Dole salad in Minnesota. I don't know if the salad at the party was Dole or not or even if the same salad would be sold in Massachusetts but I'm worried! What do you think?

I hadn't heard that. I would stay away from the packaged salads anyway, you never know who may have handled the food prior to the packaging. If that was the only outbreak that was mentioned, I'm sure that you will be fine. If it was widespread or involved more states, there would have been some sort of recall.

Yeah, any of those salads that were specified have such old expiration dates that if they were the same as you ate would be nasty looking by now and you wouldn't have eaten it! LOL. Plus if you ate it yesterday you would have been sick by now.

for sure if you ate it yesterday the ecoli would have set in by now. I bought the salad in the bag and after reading these posts I won't anymore

I'm in MN, we had a bag of the one and the same, luckily heard about it and threw it away, but I'm afraid to buy salads now, and I won't shop at Rainbow again.
