I do no think that you are the one causing all the people around you to puke, so don't think that you are a jinx. I think that the situation that you're describing is going to always end up with someone around you getting sick. You enjoy going out with your friends, and that's a good sign, that you still go out with your friends even though someone is always getting ill. This phobia hasn't taken TOTAL control of your life. You can also breathe a sigh of relief that the reason the people are getting sick is because they drank to much, not because they have a stomach virus. That's probably the biggest fear with people on this site is that if someone gets ill next to them is it because of a virus??!! I understand also about how you gave up drinking because of the effect it has on people. I never really enjoyed college as my friends did because of the fear of getting sick from it. I used to see my roommates come home and puke all night and that to me was so sickining to watch that I couldn't imagine anything being that worth it. If the puking people from to much alcohol really has you upset, I would go out with your friends to do other things, like go to the movies or something. Go out where alcohol isn't the main attraction (even in ireland i'm sure you can find something non-alcoholic to do.)
