    I'm really nervous.

For the past week and a half i've had this really dry cough. It's not from a cold or anything, just...a cough, basically. Anyway, that was fine, until today when i got home from school and was sooo tired and just collapsed on the couch and felt like I had a fever. So I took my temperature and it said I was normal...however, now I'm afraid that my tiredness and stuff is attributed to a stomach thing, especially because my stomach hurt and was hard last night. So, I'm just nervous. Does anyone know what's going on? Do you think I'm going to v*?

Do you have allergies? Mine are acting up really badly.

Do you live in a northern climate where you've had to turn the furnace on? That can make the air so dry. I wake up in the night a lot in the winter with this awful dry throat that all of a sudden starts to tickle and water in one spot and the back and it always freaks me out.

    How are you feeling now?

Well I still have my cough...my mom's thinking it's bronchitis, but i dont have a fever so it could be allergies...i dont have any, but i've noticed that it gets worse at school when its more stuffy and dusty. So far i'm thinking the scared to v* thing is just nerves, but i've noticed that those get worse when I don't have anyone at home to re-assure me. I live in Boston (MA), so it's sorta northern...it's not too cold yet, but the temperature has been fluctuating a lot, and the thermostat keeps getting adjusted. that could be it.

    thanks!

Forget it...it's done, over with, I'm fine, managed to go to sleep without my dad's reassurance, and I'm fine. Thanks mommyof3 for replying!

Hey, no problem. But it's great to hear how close you are to your dad. Not a lot of girls are.

It's funny actually one of my better memories with my dad (we don't talk a whole lot anymore) was when I would wake up with a panic attack and "stomach ache" and how he would try to comfort me. I would get so worked up that I would shake. He was convinced that I needed protein so he and I would sit up at 2 am eating cheese .

Aww, that's kind of a nice memory My dad tries to comfort me, but I
end up feeling worse as he starts to go on about that whole learning to
live with it and then starts talking about all his problems - which by the
way, I would normally be okay with, but not during an anxiety attack...
seriously! lol So when I wake up feeling sick (nearly every night) I just turn
on my light, drink water and read until I fall asleep.

Hey Valleymist, my mom does the exact same thing! So that's why I turn to my dad...it's awesome that you have a good way to handle it!

Oh and mommyof3 I love that memory!! It's really nice!
