    Hey all,

Well, this is one of those posts. I'm just feelin real nauseas and yuck. I had some icecream and I think that is the culprit. Is this normal to feel yuck after eating it? Sometimes I do and sometimes I'm fine. Bleh I don't even wanna think about icecream now.

    hey galadriel..

i just had an icecream about 15 minutes ago and i too am feeling
nauseous.. i think it's just bcos it's quite creamy and rich and bcos
us emets pay so much attention to our tummies our subconscious reacts
to richer foods .. does that make any sense? its hard to explain but i
figure just bcos we focus so much on wot we eat and how it makes us
feel sometimes we;r bringing on the nausea ourselves... so horrible for
us to put up with as its the feeling we most fear!! aweful isnt it.. it
wud be wonderful to just be normal and eat woteva we want witout
worrying wot its going to do to us!

    Hey Stef!

Uhoh you too! Evil icecream! I think you may be right, we emets tend to analyze every twinge our stomach makes. I too think sometimes the richness of it can make us nauseas, plus sometimes milk products in general I think have a harder time going through sometimes. After I eat a bowl of cereal with milk sometimes I feel pretty crummy after that too.

Oh yes it's perfectly normal to not feel well after eating ice cream,
especially if you usually eat a fairly low fat diet. That happens to me
    all the time.

It also sounds like you might be lactose intolerant so that would make you feel like crap too.

Ice cream is one of my no-no foods. I eat is occasionally when I'm home from school for a few days but otherwise then that, I dont. Its the milk in it. Makes me feel sick. I dont like milk but i'm not lactose intolerant. it just tastes bad. Do you like milk? Hope you feel better.

I've felt that way too before, after icecream, and I love it so.I think sometimes something very cold can be a bithard on tums andwe, being emets, start analysing those 'weird' feelings. Hope you are feeling ok now!

You could be lactose intolerant...one of my friends is, and she feels sick and sometimes gets d* after eating milk products...there's meds you can take to lessen that though. I dont usually feel that way after ice cream, but i dont drink plain milk or have it in cereal...i hate it!
