So my mother gives me this oven cook meal for dinner which containsCod and Chips all in one, you know those types of oven cook meals.

And anyway, this cod is basically fish in breadcrumbs. I'm a bit wary of these all in one oven cook meals, because especially when they have chips in them, they never seem to write long enough on the packet. You always have to cook them for longer.

So I look at the breadcrumbs and they look a bit pale, so I turn it over nad it's an ok colour on the other side. I am satisfied, so I stick my fork in and eat a bite- only to find that it is very very soft in my mouth. It kind of falls apart.

Anyway, my mother asks just in general whether I like it, and I say that the fish is slightly soft. She says she cooked it for how long it said on the packet and that is that.

Do you think I could get food poisoning from it? I mean it wasn't raw, it certainly was quite cooked, but it did disintegrate when i stuck my fork in. Do you think this is just the nature of cod in breadcrumbs? I'm worrying now, 'cos I feel a tad sick lol.

I'm sure you are ok. The thing about the frozen foods is, they are usually already cooked fully or partially to begin with before they are frozen. The fact that the fish "fell apart" so easily is a sign that it was overcooked. I'm sure you will be just fine.

I tend to stay away from fish but Babygap is right usually frozen food like that is already cooked. You should be fine.

if you think about it, people eat raw fish. i eat sushi and ive NEVER
gotten sick. knock on wood. so if you think about it, even if it was
undercooked which i doubt because those meals are usually pre cooked,
youll be fine.

You will be just fine, the nausea you felt would have been anxiety nausea. How are you feeling now?
