I hope I am posting this in the right place. I don't remember all the new rules.
Basically, I am spun up like an eight-day clock. (Don't ask - something my husband says) I don't feel sick, but I am constipated. But the real problem is I am like nervous. I get butterflies in my stomach every few minutes and I can't seem to relax. I think I may be hungry. I haven't been eating much lately (except on the weekends) I felt icky all day today. I would eat thinking it would make me feel better, but not really. Then on my way home from work I started this butterfly in the stomach thing. BTW, I am in the process of weaning myself of Lexapro. I don't remember reading this as a side effect of withdrawal. What do you all think is my problem. I need to go to sleep!!!

It possibly is a side effect, I think that is very possible but I don't
know for sure. Another guess.. what is the weather like there? I know
people who get that way during the full moon, for some reason.. or
maybe the constipation is making you nervous, when I get that it puts
me in really weird moods. But really I don't know. I would recomend
eating something mild, maybe putting on something calming on tv, and
lying down. Try to focus on the show, and you may calm yourself down -
or fall asleep while watching it. That seems to help me when I feel
    weird.

Thanks confused girl. It helps to know someone is out there. I know that sounds weird, but just knowing I'm not lying awake by myself, somehow brings me comfort.

I too think that you are suffering from withdrawal symptoms. Butterflies in the tummyis one of the first symtoms to effect me when I stop taking anti-depressants. Not sure about the constipation, it may be linked too. Try drinking more water, that may help with the constipation.

When I suffer butterlies I try and eat normally as not eating much can make them worse. Try eating more regularly but smaller, lighter meals. Try not to worry about v*ing I am sure you won't even come close, any nausea you may feel will be anxiety nausea, so try to keep ascalm and as relaxed as possible. Tell yourself what you are feeling is a normal reaction to coming off tablets that you have been taking for a while. Your body is just re-adjusting. You don't have an sv or anything like that, just a few withdrawal symptoms that will decrease more and more as time goes by.

    Hope you feel better soon.

I'd say it could well be wtihdrawal symptoms, too, aguerra! I've never experienced them (I've never really taken anything that might cause them), but if you've changed something in your daily routine, its probably thrown your body a bit off course.

    You'll be fine!

This might be totally unrelated, but butterflies often come with excitement, or something positive you know is going to happen. You can't think of anything, can you? I've had them all week because of something positive going on in my life, and so I've had sort of the same symtpoms as you - loss of appetite, feeling nervous, etc.

It could just be withdrawal, but sometimes you can be 'spun up like an eight-day clock' for a good reason, too!
