I am SO HAPPY!!

Every year at my high school there is an exchange program for the spanish classes...one year is mexico, the other is spain. This year is spain. We host students, and then we go there...only 15 of us. My parents said that I can go! (no birthday or christmas presents though). I am sooo excited, even though there's this huge reccomendation (to see who will be selected)application anda huge personality analysisapplication (to match you with the right person). However, I'm a little nervous. I'm expected to show this person a good time, but it's for three weeks, and Ithink it might get boring! Also, whatif that person is succeptible to illness? He/she'scoming in november. And when I go there (in February), what if someone issick there? or i'm sick? it's just a little scary.

Sodo you think i should go? and also, does anyone have ideas about the sickness thing orabout what I should do with thisperson? (I live in Boston)

    Thanks!

OH! That sounds so exciting. In my school, we had an exchange program to Venice, Italy and to Vienna, Austria, I could not/did not want to go though cause of school work but that sounds so exciting.

I'm really not sure what to do about sickness because I dont take anything and just come here to get reasurances and I think you'll be fine but taking the person out.. I think you should take them to some places that you enjoy or ask them if they wanted to see something. I've never been to boston but in our exchange program, the school arranges for a baseball game or something or a broadway show. Anything like that over there?

Oh, have fun even if its a bit away from now!

When I have a dilemma like this, I try and think just what are the odds... I mean of all the years and all the months and all the days, what are the odds that this person would be sick in that three weeks.... you know? Don't forgo this opportunity because of what **might** happen. Most likely, the person will be healthy the entire time. And for you getting sick there, same thing. What are the odds??
