Hey all. Long time no see! I'm not very sleepy yet tonight so I figured I'd come on here and start up a chat on one of my favorite topics... movies!

There are quite a few good ones coming out in the next couple of months so I was wondering which one you all plan to see next? I'm planning on seeing "Serenity" next even though I've already seen it once at a pre-screening. It's just so damn good I've got to see it again. If you're a fan of "Buffy" or "Angel" or sci-fi then I'd highly recommend it. If you want to see the trailer (and a pretty fun website) check it out here: Serenity: The Official Movie Website

So what about you guys? What's next on your must see list?

Probably the only movie I am planning for sure to see in the coming months is the new Harry Potter. I don't go to a lot of movies, maybe 1 every other month or so. We have 3 small children so we usually rent. We just saw Madagascar at the second-run theater. But my 7 year old and I will definitely be going to see Goblet of Fire on opening night. He is soooo excited. He has been trying to read the books but they are a little past his reading level (can read the words but it takes so much concentration he doesn't remember what he read lol). So the movies are what he really is into. I hesitated a bit because it is going to be rated PG-13, but he pointed out that he already knows what will happen because I read him the book. So he suckered me lol. And yes, we are the dorks that go on opening night all dressed in costume .

Oh yeah baby, I am definetely seeing Corpse Bride!

The last movie I saw was Just Like Heaven and it was good. I'd
recommened it if you're ever in the mood for a romantic comedy. Oh and
don't be put off by the fact that the main character is a doctor, there
are absolutely no v* scenes.

Thanks Chicajojobe for the info. I wanted to see Just Like Heaven and
was worried if there were any V* scenes. Now I can go relax and enjoy
it!

oh I was going to see Just Like Heaven yesterday, I've been looking
forward to it for awhile, but then I got a horrible cold so I couldn't
go V_V so I think I'll go this weekend. Then I'll see the next Harry
Potter movie too when that comes out, and Corpse Bride.

I hope to see Flight Plan soon. When is the Harry Potter movie coming out? I love Harry Potter movies--I liked the last one because of the cat (Crookshanks). He favors my Persian quite a bit!

Hey All,

I am really excited about the new Harry Potter movie, but also really concerned. I just finished the 5th book, and there is ALOT of v* in it! Does anyone have any inside info on how graphic it may be? I hope they dont consider those scenes important and leave them out. Did anyone else read this? Do you think they will leave them in?

Oh, and I plan to see Corpse Bride this week! I cant wait..

I really don't know, I was actually wondering that as I read the 5th
book a couple months ago. I don't remember there being any v* in the
4th book.. maybe I just forgot about it, but I don't think there was
any there to begin with. But I don't know what they'll do.. I assume
they will leave them in, just because movies tend to do that
leave in the gross stuff, but seem to cut out important stuff.. but the
Harry Potter movies have always been good, they don't seem to try to
over-do on graphic things, so if they keep some of those scenes in when
they make the 5th movie, they will probably do it in a way that doesn't
show much.. I hope..

Oh!! I thought they were combining 2 years in one movie! Well good, there was no v* in book 4! Whew, I am off the hook for another year or so!

I really wanted to go see "A History of Violence" this past weekend but I guess it was a limited release cause the nearest place playing it was a couple hours away. Oh well, that'll be a rental.

In the mean time, only 3 days til Serenity!!! I can't wait to see it again. It's got everything; characters you care about, great dialog, excellent story, drama, suspense, horror, comedy, action, special effects and sci-fi. You guys won't be disappointed if you check it out.

Aw, so many good movies coming up!!

*DESPERATE* to see Corpse Bride, I am such a huge fan of Tim Burton, particularly The Nightmare Before Christmas ^_^ Also Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire, because I'm a mad Potter fan - no v*ing in the 4th one, for those who were wondering I'm not sure if they'll include it in the 5th or not...hopefully not, it distressed me enough just reading that bit

And the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was my favourite book as a kid, so I'm looking forward to that, too!
