Today would be the day to do it. I don't have one, so I drew one and put it outside my room (not home yet).
May we never forget.

Those of us not in the US will never forget either. I was actually watching those dreadful moments on the news as it happened, I could not believe my eyes.
My thoughts are with the familes left to carry on with their lives, after losing loved ones to such an unnecessary and horrific thing.
The world will never forget.

Our flag is flying, I rememeber exactly what I was doing when I saw it happening. I will never forget that. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone involved.
I don't have a flag, but it is flying in my heart.
I was only in sixth grade when it happened, the teachers didn't know when or what to tell us but when parents started picking kids up from school they turned TV's on in whatever classroom we were in at the moment...i will never forget it.

Not to get political, but I can remember all those people and the horrible tragedy without flying a flag. Personally, after this hurricane and our government's reaction to it, I am not too proud to fly our flag.
(Please don't hate me...just my two cents.)
"Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right."
The flag has nothing to do with government. The flag is about the people, and I am DAMN PROUD of the way people have been reacting to the hurricane. People have been leaving their jobs, their families, to go down and help. People are spending their hard earned money on food, water, clothes, necessities, etc for the victims. People are taking STRANGERS into their homes that no longer have homes of their own. Wise words from a wise musician "our flag still stands for freedom, and they can't take that away" and flying our flag shows the enemies that we are united, not weak and they can't mess with us. Letting politics get in the way of that, is stupid.
I watched "The Flight that Fought Back" tonight. It's a great movie, going to be on some more tonight. You can also buy it at honorflight93.org. 100% of the money goes towards the memorial fund. I owe those heros a lot, my sister and brother in law were on vacation in DC and sitting in the capitol building on 9/11/01, the most likely target for Flight 93. And those people were the first to fight the war on terror, and the first to win any battle.
I was sitting in my college's Fine Arts building. We all watched on the screens as the news came on. Complete strangers joined hands and prayed as the second tower was hit, and we did it again when the towers started to fall.
