I feel horrible. I am so n*. I talked to a girl at work today who said that she went out Friday night for dinner with her family and about 15 minutes after eating she got really n* all of a sudden and v*. She felt bad for the rest of the night (don't know if she v'd) and said she still didn't feel good Saturday. She admitted that she was felt hungry but was afraid to eat. So now that I feel like this, I am afraid I am going to be sick. She thought her food (chicken tacos) just didn't agree with her, but would food poisoning hit you that fast? It was probably more of a sv, huh?

So now I am scared. On top of that I have been feeling n* every night for the past 2 weeks or so. It's like reverse morning sickness or something. I am fine in the mornings but feel horrible at night. My husband and I are trying for a baby, but when the n* started I couldn't have been more than a couple of days pregnant, if that. So I am tending to think it is not pregnancy related. However, I am afraid to take pepto or anything in case I am pregnant. Help! What is worng with me? What should I do?

Let me tell you sister....there is NO SUCH THING AS "MORNING" SICKNESS. You can be sick anytime of the day, or all day (my case). I had a friends who only felt sick at night as well. The only reason they call it morning sickness is b/c percentage wise, you usually feel worst in the morning b/c you haven't ate. I had all day sickness, admitadly though, worse in the mornings!

So, YAY! Maybe you are preggers! Think positive! Every n* moment or every v* is worth a baby!!!!

My husband and I are trying as well. I hope you are. Do you worry like I do about them being older and catching virus'? I think my stress about v*ing is not helping my quest to get pregnant. Let us know. Murphy

I don't really feel nervous. I think it would be odd to feel the effects of the pregnancy this early too, but my mom told me she knew she was pregnant long before she missed her period. But she didn't have morning sickness, so I'm not really sure how she knew. She just said her body felt "different." I am actually excited and hope to get pregnant really soon. I think that if I am not pregnant this month, I will buy on eof those ovulation predictor tests for next month.

Murphy - I am nervous about them getting sick when they get older. That is one of the things I am working on with my therapist. I really hope to get over all of this soon - hopefully before the baby comes. I really just want to be able to enjoy being a mom.

I'm not sure my stress about v* is keeping me from getting pregnant, but I do worry about my sleep and eating habits. Neither one is very healthy at the moment. I am also a little underweight which I hope is not affecting my getting pregnant. I am trying to force myself to eat better and hopefully, sleep better.

We'll see how it goes! The n* hits me almost every night lately, but some nights are better than others. Hopefully the guessing game will be done soon though! Good Luck Murphy!

    Silly,

I have been using the ovulation predictor since May. I think it is going to be a struggle for me b/c my mom and grandmom had difficulty. I do love the predictor though. The one I use is very accurate and my doctor also said it was the best one. Good luck to you. Kelly

    Hi Sillygirl....

I have two children. I don't know if you have seen my post on wanting to leave them as my son V* the other night. Read it. Please please just stress to your therapist how important it is to get this thing sorted BEFORE your baby arrives if you are pregnant. I have been a cronic Emet for as long as I could remember. I had phsycotherapy years ago that didnt work but as I didnt have children then I could remove myself from any V* situation that arrived. I just assumed that I would love my children so much when I had any that I would be able to deal with it. HOW WRONG WASI ???? If Iknew then what Iknow now I wouldnt have any children.

I'm not trying to put you off having children but dont make the same mistake that I did. GET IT SORTED NOW.

I triedover 4 years for my son. (He is now 3 this month.) I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks after him. Then a had another son who was born at 24 weeks and he passed away aged 3 days. Now I have a beautiful 8 week old baby. She is the center of my world along with my son but I would pack a bag now and go rather than be here if my son V* like he did the other night. He did it all over my other half and it splashed on our wooden floor. Up the walls, everywhere. Not to mention the smell. I am in a cold sweat thinking about it. I keep getting flash backs. All what I have been through with losing my son and trying so long for children you can imagain how much they mean to me. That is why I am saying for you to get it sorted.

Please let me know how you get on and I'll be thinking ofyou

Hi silly girl.....there is a great way to try get pregnant and you don't need to buy an ovulation predictor. All you need to do is know your body. Try going to babycenter.com and go to 'preconception' there are lots of people there in forums, and lots of info. I took my temperature, and checked cervical mucous (sorry) and there is even peole who actually check their own cervix (it changes throughout your cycle) The is a book that is fantastic as well....I will go see if I can find it, b/c I don't remember the name. But, on this site you can print out charts and it tells you how and when to check things within your body.

The month I got pg with my son, by doing these things I can tell you the actual day I ovulated (July 16, 2000). So I can be almost positive that egg and sperm met on about the 18th of that month. Pretty cool huh?

snowangel....my mom was sick the day after she conceived me and was sick until the end. I started getting queesy at exactly 6 weeks. Everyone is different. I even know someone who didn't get morning sickness until the LAST trimester which is very strange. So, theoretically, she could be pg. I knew I was pg way before I started getting sick, and my mom just thought she had a sv.

    Rambling.....sorry!

Not yet. Since my cycles have been irregular for the past few months, I'm nt 100% sure when I should be starting. I am looking at the longest cycle I had, so I will take a test next weekend if I still haven't had it. THe n* at night kind of comes and goes now. I have had nights that were just horrible, and other nights when I felt fine. Although I am NEVER hungry at night anymore. Kinda strange? THe only other "symptom" I have had is off and on sore breasts - but that could be a symptom of my period coming too. Oh well, I guess we'll keeo playing the waiting game. I will let you know if I am though! If not, I am going to do all inmy power to get pregnant next month!

    Goodluck Sillygirl.

I have been pregnant 4 times (but only have 2 children) and not V* once. I have only had a couple of very very very mild feelings of n* but nothing that I have been worried about. Just like indegestion.

My first pregnancy was a boy (3 on 27th of this month)

The second I lost at 10 weeks

The third was another son born at 24 weeks and sadly passed away aged 3 days

The forth was my daughter born 8 weeks ago! FINE.

I'm still not coping with wanting to leave them as my phobia is really controlling me. I have told my other half thatI am close to going.

Please do as I said and try to get it sorted BEFORE you get pregnant. You could regret it.

GOOD LUCK THOUGH!!! LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES.

pookey - I know that you said that you are obtaining help. I am wondering, since your last child was born only 8 weeks ago, are you experiencing post partum depression that is taking the form of an intensification of your emetophobia?

i have a 3 year old son and I was N* all day every single day while I was pregnant. I did not ever V* and it was worth every bit of it. I knew why I felt ill and I wasn't freaking out that it was an SV, but i would nibble on a cracker just in case i was going to V*, i didn't want to eat. i did not gain a lot of weight whole pregnant, but I had am 8.5 lb boy who is the world to me. he does v* and i deal with it, but if my husband did, i know i would take my son and walk out for a few days. i get very scared when my son does V* , but that love pushes forth enough to get me through the moment and then alone, i sort out that fear and go on. i am scared for several days, but then i am releived when i don't get it and it's over for a while.

i hope you are pregnant and you will love the result enough to make this emet fear better. it has helped me some, but my sons v* is all i can handle and it is that love that makes it work
