I haven't been here in a long time. Months and months. I've been doing great with my emet, hardly been a problem at all.

A couple days ago my brother came down with a cold. No big deal, just a cold, would suck if I got it but that's all.

But of course he just came in a moment ago and told me he v* several times last night.

And now I just want to run away.

    I f***ing hate this phobia.

Just wanted to say hey to another Kate

Sorry your brother is sick....I know this can be frustrating and makes us go backwards instead of forwards with any progress...it happens to me all the time....just last week my co worker was sick with V...very badly...and I was sooooooo paranoid that I was going tocatch it.....turns out I didn't and neither did any of my othere co workers or her other family members....so try not to worry about it too much...stay clean and stay your distance from him..How old is her? I hope he is getting better as we speak....maybe he has strep? Hope you are feeling better soon too....K

He's 18. I don't think it's strep, as his throat doesn't hurt. I'm hoping it's just a really bad cold. I don't think its sv since he didn't v lots and lots for a long time, and I don't think he has D either. He does have a stuffy nose, a bit of a cough and no fever last time we checked. He isn't phobic, so he v's easier than me. I know when I have a cold I feel quite n, so maybe that's what happened to him. I'm hoping and praying that's what it was anyway.

My advice is to make sure you wash your hands. I went through hell yesterday at my parents place. I know you hate this phobia we all do. Just take some deep breath's and wash your hands. He could have ate some thing that disagreed with him

I can understand how you feel. I'd also freak out but this does not mean you will catch this bug or virus off him. People can be s* when they have a really bad cold or the flu. I'd say to keep up your fluid intake, take hygiene precautions and not to touch your face or nose. Hope he gets better soon, and hope you feel better soon.

Just try to stay away from him if you can. I remember when I was little and my sisters got sick I would keep away from them. I wouldn't be on the same floor as them and I wouldn't even use the same toilet that they would be sick in. I hardly EVER got sick as a kid and now I live on my own so I don't really have to worry about catching someone elses germs. Just keep up proper hygeine and you should be fine!
