I haven't posted for a really long time because for a while I thought this sight was making my emet worse. Anyway, I'm 10 weeks pregnant and for the last 7 weeks, I've been nauseated 24 hours a day. I haven't v'ed - but that's probably because I'm too scared. The thing is, I really want a child and I'm trying to be happy about my pregnancy but its really hard when I feel as sick as I do. I told my husband that I'm never doing this again and he thinks I'm crazy. In the meatime, I have to go back to work full time in a couple of weeks and its been hard enough working part time the past seven. I'm so stressed out. I'm also depressed because I haven't felt like doing much of anything all summer and summer is my favorite time of year. Totop it off, as much as I look forward to being a mom, I keep flashing to moments when mychild might get sick and I start to get really anxious and unsure if I've made the right decision. I just really needed to get this off my chest. I've basicically spent the past two monthsconcentrating oncontrolling my nausearather thanreally living my life and I'm so tired.

Have you talked to your doctor about the nausea? I know people who have had sucess with wrist bands and even taking ginger tablets. I am sure your doctor could help you with that. Do you think that maybe you are creating your nausea kind of psychosomatically? (no offense, but we do tend to do this as emets)

As far as your kids getting sick.. Of course they will, but you can refer back to some of the posts made (especially recently) about how it's really not that bad when it happens and it is definitely worth it. (the experience of being a mom)

Don't let this phobia control your feelings right now. You should not have these worries on your mind. I would really start by talking to your doc. and if you are not already, get yourself into therapy so that you can learn some good relaxation methods and ways to cope. You could have yourself all trained and ready for when that child does overeat or get a sv. You've got enough time.. If you got a jump on it now, you might never have to experience that anxiety. Plus, the relaxation techniques could help you through labor, too

Hang in there. It really isn't that bad. The worst of it is created in our own minds.

Don't worry. Everything your body is feeling now is normal. After the first 3 months, 12 weeks, you should start to feel a lot better. You will get your energy back and the constant feeling of being sick should go away. Your mood will improve also. remember that your body is going through a huge change right now. Your hormones are changin daily, even hourly. I was once told when I was pregnant with my child that my body is no longer mine, it is now the babies. Trust me if you are like most normal women when they are pregnant after you pass the 3 month mark you should get a burst of energy, and just wait until the nesting sets in. You will not regret this after you se the miracle you bring into this world. Tyr to find things to take your mind off of the way you feel right now. I know it is hard, but stress is definetly not your friend right now. I hope you feel lots better soon!!

One more thing about your kids geting sick. My 2 year was sick with a stomach virus for the first time last winter. I made it through and did not get sick. Those are the moments that when they arrive you will deal with them the best way you can. There are not enough of those momentsthat it would be worth not having children at all.Edited by: blueiz25

The good news is, the bad part should be ending shortly. I remember being about 12 weeks pregnant with my son (my 2nd child) and telling my husband that, even though I was 39, I didn't want to have an amniocentisis (sp?) because of the risk of miscarriage. I explained that, given how s***ty I'd been feeling, if I miscarried, I didn't think I'd ever get pregnant again. And then it passed, and I went through pregnancy and labour and have a beautiful boy who's almost 10 months old. And by the way, I had some other testing done that told me that my chances of genetic diseases that are detectably by amnio was really, really low.

In the meantime, there are lots of tips for minimizing nausea. Go to http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/mornin...tp/tpmorningsi ck.htmas a start. Good luck.

Pregnancy sickness mostly starts by week 6 and ends at about 12 to 14 weeks, you would have been sick by now if you were going to, most women just feel sick, you only have a few more weeks of this so dont worry. You will love your baby when it comes. your nearly at your time to stop feeling sickso relax. It could be worse, you could have just started with it if you were 6 weeks but your now 10 so yourhalfway there.Edited by: suzy.o
