question for those on birthcontrol...

Ok, I'm on Alesse birthcontrol, no problems so far (knock on wood).


I missed my pill last night ( I never do!!! I was at a movie! lol) and just rememberd to take it this morning at 11:30. I usually take it at 10:30 pm. So I took it as soon as I rememberd.


Question, will i feel sick from taking 2 pills in one day? I read my little book thingy on it, and couldn't find anything on it. Just to take the pill as soon as you remember. I'm going to take the pill for today, this evening in about an hour.


I'm just scared I'll wake up with nausea, or whatnot from taking 2 pills. I heard this sometimes happens when you take 2.


Any thoughts?

NO worries there there isn't enough of the hormones in the pill to make you feel sick. You will be fine. You can always call up the pharmacy and double check if you are more comfortable. I have done that though and I am sensitive to BC that is why I am happy with Alesse.


*just make sure you usea back up method if you are using it for Birthcontrol for a couple days JUST to make sure*

I heard Alesse is low hormone, so it's usually okay for stuff like that.

Hey there! I dont do it often..but I have forgottne once or twice..and I have never felt sick from taking two pills in one day..i was scared to death..almsot didnt take them...but I did..and was perfectly fine!

I have never had any problems taking two pills in one
day. As Melikasa says, use another method for a few days for
extra protection. It should say in the leaflet what you need to
do if you have taken a pill late!</font>

I just took it, and was thinking about taking a gravol, BUT I DIDN'T!!!

Sunshine, you shouldn't be taking them everyday. It says on the package to not take them like that.


I'd talk to your doctor about it though, I can't really say much!

I used to take gravol about once a day...and then my mom threatened that if I took it every day and then for some reason couldn't keep taking it...that my stomach wouldn't have any resistance to nausea at all. I only take it now when I don't feel well or when I need to calm myself down.


Oh, and I'm on Alesse too. The only birth control that's ever made me sick was Diane35. It's apparently also causing blood clots in people all over the place...just a warning.
