Hiya,

I'm new here and its so nice to hear of other people who suffer the same as me. My family think I am mad and sometimes seem to make fun of me.

Anyway, back to the point, someone in work today is complaining of stomach cramps and they do look pretty ill. I am sooooo scarred of catching whatever it is he has got He is an adult so its not just a kids thing that I am too big to catch, I am really worried.

Been trawling the internet for information (thats how I found this site) but nothing seems to answer my query. All seem to say that you can catch bugs through close contact, in the workplace etc. So panic mode has now well and truely set in. Know that when I do get home I will scrub myself clean and no doubt disinfect my bathroom after washing and put my clothes on the hottest wash I can find.

Sorry to ramble but thats how my mind is working at the moment.

Take care to you all, Sarah xx

    Hi Sarah,
the only thing I can say to you is that you should definately try to calm down. This guy has stomach cramps, he hasnt been sick to your knowledge so even if u did catch this bug or whatever it is, if he hasnt been sick then neither will you. Secondly, what he is feeling could be a number of things, he could have eaten somethin dodgy or it could be a digestive problem, it could even be IBS but he just doesnt wanna tell hehe. Please dont worry, why dont you give him a call and see how he's doing?
    Much love,
    Faith-Marilyn

Hi Faith-Marilyn, I know I am being silly, its probably something to do with the amount of cola he drinks each day . But its stupid little things like this which send me into a panic. I tell myself to be sensible but then worry for the next week just in case.

Suppose its all part and parcel of a phobia. I dislike flying but still get on a plane for my hols, but worry each time there is a different noise or "bump".

    Take care, Sarah

    Hi Sarah:

Hope you're feeling a little better. I get the same way when I think someone is ill, but Faith-Marilyn could be right. It could be something he ate or an IBS attack. Try not to worry yourself b/c you will just make yourself feel sick.

    Hi Melanie

I know I am being silly, thats the stupid thing about it. Knowing what he is like it is more than likely something he has eaten.

Trying to relax a bit and think nice things ..... no doubt come Monday when I return to work panic will set in again .... is anyone else ill .... but I will try and take my mind of it.

    Take care
