... the shape of your bowel movements?

I'm going to ask my doctor this whenever I get the chance, but I was wondering if I could get some insight from some people who've been on birth control a while, in particular the Nuva Ring.

For the past few months I've been having on and off pellet-shaped bowel movements. I'll go consecutive days of pellet-shapes and then suddenly have consecutive regular days. I really hate the "pellet poo" as I call it. It leaves me feeling like I haven't released all the waste and I still feel bloated after going.

I just started realizing that it started around the time I started the birth control, and I noticed that the last time the pellets stopped and I was going normally was the week I took the ring out and had my period.

Could it be the birth control that's doing it? I'm interested in seeing if there's a connection.

Hmm, I never noticed either way. I'd be interested to see what your doctor says. Maybe it causes some mild consipation? I really have no idea. lol

the extra hormones in pregnancy can cause constipation so I would be lead to believe that the hormones in b/c could as well.

I read once that pellets can be from stress, but if anything this summer I have been feeling less stressed than ever, so it could be constipation. Time to start eating Raisin Bran again.
