Hello everyone; I know I've only posted here once before but right now I feel really crappy and need to vent. My stomach has been playing up since Thursday (I suffer from hyperacidity and reflux)and since yesterday morningI've had stomach pain, nausea and I keep wanting to go to toilet Usually I'd just dismiss any stomach trouble as the reflux but I never usually get this sort of pain or need to go to toilet a lot with it I went to a music festival on Saturday and I've convinced myself that I caught something from there, but I also ate next to nothing that day so I'm trying to rationalise that it's because my digestive system is a bit messed up 'cos of that. Whatever it is, I can't handle it much longer, I feel on the brink of panic and I so badly want to cry but I can't Sorry for this but I just need to vent somewhere.

I'm sorry you're feeling so rough - why don't you have some peppermint tea or cup of tea that might calm your stomach and try to take your mind off you stomach by listening to some music or watching a film.

I'm sorry if this doesn't help much...I don't really know much about hyp[eracidity and reflux...

Please try to relax and I'm sure it'll be better soon - if you don't feel better tomorrow morning go to see your GP, they might be able t give you something for the problem

I also suffer from acid reflux and last year I was in a whole panic for a long while because I used to have burning sensations in my stomach and stomach pains and I really thought something was wrong with me, and my friends at work would tell me that it was just me stressing out and that it was really starting to affect my stomach, so I went to the doctor and he told me to take 2 pills instead of my usual one, for the reflux, and within a few days I started feeling alot better and I took 2 for about a month and then went back down to my one and now its been about a year....

Really, don't panic, I promise you its your nerves messing up your insides, go see your GP and tell him your pains and ask if you could up your meds....

Hope I've helped a bit, but try to relax because thats all you really need to start feeling better, easier said than done, I know!

I have GERD and antacids always help me. I automatically
take tums before bedtime and it does help. But yeah nerves do make it
worse. In fact I am fuming over something that had happened today and
its acting up now! I hope it gets better for you.

Thank you everyone, I know I definitely need to relax more and not get so freaked when I don't feel right. It's easier said than done, isn't it? terrified girl, I am allowed to double dose my medication so I think I'll try that for the next few days and see if that helps. If not, then it's off to the doctors for me! Anyway, thank you allfor replying, seeing that people carehas actually made me feel a littlebetter
