Hey all,

Man Im kinda feelin scared right now. Its like 6am, and I have had a stomach ache last nite (I had pringles about 9-10 pm) and well I didnt fall asleep till like 1am, and then woke up here like 6am or so and man my stomach still feels bad some. That scares me cause usually when I wake up in the morning its okay. Intestines are pretty crampy and gassy too. How long does it take for food to digest? This is gonna sound odd, but you know how like awhile after youve eaten something and say you burp and its like you still uhmm have that food that you last ate is still there? Well its kinda doin that to me, but I musta ate those chips about 8-9 hours ago. Im just scared this means Ive like caught something or am gonna be sick here.

Try not to worry. Maybe what's happening (sorry to sound gross) but your body is just working on a #2. Your intestines can get all gassy, and maybe since it is working so hard on going out the other end, there is so much gas. Now because there is so much gas in you it can change into burps just to get it out of you. Have you been constipated lately? Because I feel like this when I am constipated. It's not just your stomach that can give you nausea, but what you should remember is that you can get intestinal nausea and intestinal aches (that overal yucky feeling in what you think is your stomach but really your intestines). From things going on in your intestines you can loose a nights sleep, get headaches, tummy yuckies, cramping, pain, the whole works. So try to calm down and rest assured that by the sounds of it, your intestines are just hard at work. Let me know how you feel now.

Hey there sunshine,

Hmm that could be. I think my stomach is feelin a bit better, but yeah intestines are still not. I do have IBS, which doesnt help. I just get freaked when I still have a stomach ache or nausea in the morning. I prolly do need to go to the br here!

Yeh that's probably what it is. I know what you mean about getting freaked in the morning, I am the same. Sometimes I wake up froma v* nightmare, look at the clock and think, ohmygosh, its 5:30, time to v*! It's perfectly understandable. Plus the anxiety never, ever, helps. Good to hear your stomach is feeling better, I am sure your intestines will soon too.

Not
to sound preachy but its a BAD BAD idea to eat really late at night not
too long before you go to bed. I used to eat crazy things when I was a
teenager at crazy hours and then would wake up like that and get scared
I would v but it never happens. Even not that long ago, the later I eat
the worse I feel in the morning. Now I try to not eat past 8pm (I am
also doing that to lose weight) and I must say I wake up feeling just
fine from doing that. Just a little tip to avoid that again. Try not to
eat late, late at night unless you plan on going to bed at 4am!
